Grenville PR & Events are delivering, on behalf of DCAL, a range of community events and Health & Wellbeing resources as part of #GameForAnto’s community engagement programme on Saturday 15 November at the Kingspan Stadium in Belfast. This is an historic sporting occasion where the GAA and Rugby communities are coming together to help in the fight against MND. All proceeds raised from the game will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association to support vital research into MND.
The fund-raising GAA match to be played at the home of Ulster Rugby will see 2013 All-Ireland champions Dublin face the Irish News Ulster All-stars team, in support of Anto’s DeterMND Trust. This is not only the first time the Dublin team have played in Belfast in 20 years but the first time the All-stars will have played together in their 20 year history.
Anto Finnegan, former captain of the Antrim team who won all Ireland success in 1999, was diagnosed in 2012 with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and has worked tirelessly to help raise awareness of the illness and fund research into the incurable and terminal condition.
